Lead singer Terri Nunn is almost 47 on paper, but at most 27 in spirit. With a revealing center-slit top, long blonde locks, and sexy dance moves including surfing the audience on the shoulders of a backup dancer, she brings an incredible energy and excitement to her viewers. She hasn't lost a thing vocally, either, belting out every hit with a captivating harmony that embodied only the 80's. The band opened their set with "Masquerade" and teased the audience by saving "Take My Breath Away" for the encore. Perhaps their most vibrant and fast-paced hit, "The Metro" was played with accompanying video of fast-paced city life (and yes, city trains), giving the song an intangible extra flair and captivating aura. The power of Berlin's sound is unquestionably amplified in a live concert, with the melodic vocals and keyboard radiating throughout the venue. The entire set was fantastic, in terms of both musical performance and stage presence. Anyone who thinks 80's bands are washed up should take another look at Berlin and others like them, who continue to demonstrate what a grand and superior era it was.
