At golden time, late one afternoon, not so long ago, a big jet plane named "Diane" descended from the sky, landed gently on Burbank's Bob ope Airport runway and rolled to a stop on the tarmac near a custom Victoria's Secret bus wrapped in pink graphics and larger than life images of the 6 Super Models, a.k.a. Victoria's Secret Angels.

Stairs were rolled in, the airplane hatch opened and down the steps came 27 Victoria's Secret models, including the Super Angels Gisele Bundchen, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Selita Ebanks. It was the first media event in a series of 3 leading up to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2006, featuring a performance by Justin Timberlake, being staged and taped at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for the first time and scheduled to air on CBS Tuesday, December 5, 2006, 10:00 pm ET/PT.

The 27 models, Doutzen Kroes, Elise Crombez, Hana Soukopova, Morgane Dubled, Oluchi Onweagba, Raquel Zimmerman, Ajuma Nasanyama, Flavia de Oliveira, Caroline Winberg, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Jessica Stam, Andi Muise, Caroline Trentini, Ana Beatriz Barros, Miranda Kerr, Angela Lindvall, Heather Marks, Julia Stegner, Katja Shchekina, Natasha Poly, and Rosie Huntington, fanned out in front of "Diane" the airplane and the V.S. bus into a long line for the press to photograph. Scanning the row, it was amazing to see so many differently proportioned faces, ranges of skin tone and hair color that would all add up to beautiful by anyone's estimation. Body types were the requisite tall and slender but, even within those constraints, you could see a wide variety of shapes. The models are clearly an international representation of great looks.   

The main attraction, of course, was the 6 Super Models; Gisele Bundchen, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Selita Ebanks. 21 up-and-coming Super Models from the line up were led away to board the VS bus leaving the 6 reigning Angels center tarmac to play and pose for the cameras.

Over the next 20 minutes, everyone had what can easily be described as a very nice time, press included. There was little talking and much spontaneous individual posing by the models. No shouting paparazzi, no scrambling for an angle from any of them. Everyone seemed to give and get just what they needed....and then, the gear was packed up, the 6 Super Models joined the other Victoria's Secret  models and off they went to their next destination.
