This fest is very inexpensive to attend and the atmosphere as the days progress becomes mellower and mellower. Plenty of participants bring their own instruments and join-in in the constant musical explorations taking place onstage and off.

Joshua Tree is about a two hour drive from LA heading East on the 10 Freeway. It’s nearly impossible to get lost nowadays thanks to GPS navigation and other amenities such… The site even provides a link for carpooling from different points of departure.

You are expected to bring your own camping gear and food. Although many vendors are present at the venue, you can choose to cook your own food. The admittance fee is about 7 dollars per camping night and it varies according to the number of days you plan to attend.
