People are excited. The dominion of cell phones is constantly evolving and T-Mobile's Sidekick II is the newest stage. On Wednesday, August 4th, T-Mobile welcomed the Sidekick II with an exclusive rooftop launch party hosted by the T-Mobile Action Sports Team.

The streets of Los Angeles were winding down as The Grove opened its doors to a huge event. Big celebrities, big athletes, and a small product expecting big popularity transformed the party into a memorable event. Tony Hawk, Shannon Elizabeth, Paris Hilton, and the T-Mobile Action Sports Team were among many that traveled the red carpet. The Action Sports Team consisting of X Games Pros: BMX Riders Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist, Skateboarder Bucky Lasek and Shaun White, also a snowboarder along with Gretchen Bleiler, and Moto X star Carey Hart; All having been gold winners of the X Games. The whole team seemed honestly enthusiastic about the convenience and cool features of the T-Mobile Sidekick II. The Sidekick is amazing.

"It's a phone, it's a camera, you can check email and get on the Internet. It's great. There are so many different things you can do with it," exclaims Shaun White.

The party's guests were given an opportunity to share in the T-Mobile Action Sports Team's excitement.

Guests were able to have a sneak peek at the T-Mobile Sidekick II and experience what the new gadget was all about. They were able to surf the Web, chat using IM, send and receive email, play games, take pictures, and of course, just call and talk to friends. The Sidekick II, set to launch this fall, is apt to handle competition. It is twenty-five percent slimmer than its predecessor, it is equipped with a fully integrated camera with flash, and it has an enhanced battery life that will provide its users with four and a half hours of talk time. It is a cell phone force to reckon with.

The splendor of the night was topped with a live performance by the Black Eyed Peas. The group's latest hits had the crowd on their feet and moving to the music. Celebrities and athletes came together to recognize T-Mobile Sidekick II and enjoyed the wireless creation through out the night. "It's so easy and convenient, I don't have enough good things to say about T-Mobile," admits Bucky Lasek.

The T-Mobile Action Sports Team stood out amongst the Hollywood scene and built the anticipation for the

2004 X Games, which T-Mobile is a gold sponsor of this year. Showing their support, Mike Belcher, director of sponsorships and promotions for T-Mobile wireless services, says, "T-Mobile is proud to be associated with the X Games and is ecstatic to help push the boundaries of action sports as the competition and trick levels are raised each year." T-Mobile's launch party honored the X Games and celebrated the new Sidekick II. The party brought lots of attention to the impressive new product, but come fall the product it sure to acquire plenty of attention by itself.
