Prepare yourself to hear vivid descriptions of sexual giving, receiving, exploration and experience delivered to you by 3 Blacque Chix. The Chix are not teeners or tweeners, they are all grown up, living proof to ad execs everywhere that sex, really good sex, has no age limits. Who do you think invented bump and grind, anyway? Our mothers and grandmothers just didn't have a forum to talk about their sexuality. Ladies and gentlemen, the 3 Blacque Chix have opened the door on a new day.
You will be thoroughly entertained and titillated throughout "Herotique-Aahh..." Even if you see yourself as sophisticated and liberated, a "been there, done that" kind of sex-cat or kitten, know that an occasional blush and twitter will pop out of you, because at some point during the performance you will get a jolt from an x-rated description you never before considered.
On stage are 3 beautiful women who are equally strong, yet vastly different. Lady M (Mariann Aalda) is a character akin to " a happy homemaker", cheery and positive. Lady I (Iona Morris) is smooth, sophisticated, all knowing. Lady L (Lola Love) is the bad girl, demanding, judgmental, punishing. Together they represent aspects of the archetypal woman. All 3 characters are sen-sexual, speaking fearlessly about exploring their own bodies and other bodies, hungry for new ways to touch and be touched. In other words, according to the 3 Ladies, a woman can approach sex from her good side, smart side and/or naughty side. The choice is yours. Each Chik gives suggestions and pointers to inform and guide you. I particularly recall a scene described by Lady I of an afternoon of pleasure alone by a stream where......gee, that was fun to recall. Now, go see for yourself.
This is a funny, bawdy, unapologetic stage show created and performed by 3 gifted, mature Black women to entertain the underserved audience of mature Black women. Luckily, they will let anybody in. As a mature white person, I say to every woman, of every color, go to "Herotique-Aahh..." and have a ball. Revel in the notion that the accumulation of birthdays has nothing to do with orgasms, or how, when or where to have them. The 3 Blacque Chix have planned "Herotique-Aahh..." to be part of a trilogy. If the next 2 stage shows are as good as the first, audiences are in for a treat.
You can see "Herotique-Aahh..." at the Acme Comedy Theatre on Friday, November 4, 2005 and Friday, November 11, 2005. Put your bootie where your mouth is or, at least, give it a try.
