Not Fade Away: A 50’s & 60’s Rock and Roll Tribute
Reviewed by Sarah Happel, SoCal Magazine

The band Not Fade Away reminds me of the massive popularity of rock and roll and it’s never ending boogie woogie beat that influences, impacts, and wildly entertains.  A 50’s and 60’s musical tribute band, Not Fade Away amuses audiences with songs by Elvis Presley, The Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles and more.  This bopping band has entertained audiences around the country with their rousing renditions of the classics.  If you love this genre of music and enjoy a light, high energy show, then you will really enjoy Not Fade Away.

During the upbeat show, the band members made clothing changes from rolled up sleeved t-shirts to Beatles-esque suits visually taking us through music influenced fashion trends.  The group banters between songs with informative facts about the time period, many of which humorously included Marilyn Monroe’s love life through the years.  One of the guitar players is eye candy with Paul Newman good looks and a great singing voice.

Definitely not a Hollywood hotspot type band, Not Fade Away is perfect for families with children.  The band provides a dance floor where parents can dance with their children along side couples twisting n’ shouting.  If you appreciate the music of this time period and like to hear the great tunes performed live, do not miss Not Fade Away.
